Much like strawberries, raspberries are a great source of anthocyanin and vitamin C
(both antiinflammatory). In animal studies, raspberry fruit extract
was found to decrease inflammation and alleviate symptoms of osteoarthritis. Further research shows that raspberries contain
bioactive compounds that reduce systemic inflammation
and even reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2
diabetes, and stroke when consumed regularly. Other fruits that are best for arthritis include
citrus and colorful fruits, such as tart cherries, watermelon,
orange, grapefruit, lime, and blueberries. Although these fruits can help alleviate symptoms,
individuals suffering from arthritis are always advised
to maintain healthy body weight to prevent straining the joints any further. To do this, eating a healthy
and balanced diet is highly recommended.
