  9. When the weather is humid it can make breathing difficult for those with asthma – myself included.
    I use 30 drops of eucalyptus oil in about 8 fl ozs pre-boiled and cooled water (around 200 ml or 1 cup) with one drop of liquid soap or unperfumed washing up liquid.
    Shake well, then spray the air in the room pointing up towards the ceiling. As the fine mist falls through the air it has a very refreshing affect. At first you may need to do this several times a day until your home has much, much fewer dust mites.
    I discovered this after spending a lot of money on a spray to reduce dust mites, pollen and moulds, and realised it was mainly eucalyptus oil, so I tried making my own. I use cheaper brands of oil and save a lot of money.
    Moving house could have been a nightmare but with this spray it made a huge difference and really reduced the need for constant medication in order to breathe.
