Is Vegan Meat ACTUALLY BETTER for The ENVIRONMENT? | LIVEKINDLY

– [Narrator] Is vegan meat more
efficient than animal meat? – What constitutes a piece
of meat from its composition, where’s the animal getting that from and where else can you get it from? – And what we were optimizing for was the one that performed best in food. – [Narrator] For thousands of years, humans have made meat from animals. It didn’t seem possible
that meat could come from anything but an animal, but now on many restaurant menus and supermarket shelves,
you can find bleeding, plant-based burgers, chicken-free nuggets, and meatless sausages. – [Colonel Sanders] It looks
like scrumptious chicken and tastes like scrumptious chicken, but it’s not chicken, it’s made of plants! – [Narrator] The meat industry
is innovating and evolving, just like humans. Beef-based quarter pounders have turned into P-protein patties. The latest burgers offer consumers so much more than their predecessor. They’re better for your health, they’re better for the planet, and they’re better for the animals. Still, animal meat is prevalent, but this too could soon change. Vegan meat uses less water, less land, and it saves millions of lives, from bees, to fish, to humans. Unlike beef, vegan meat is
healthier for your body, and it isn’t destroying the rainforest and the oceans either. Here are five reasons why vegan meat is more efficient than animal meat. Number one, it uses fewer resources. Animal agriculture uses
significant amounts of land, water and energy. In comparison, growing
crops for vegan food is much more efficient. Unlike traditional burgers,
which are often made with beef, vegan burgers are made with ingredients like peas or soy. Producing even the lowest-impact beef requires 36 times more land than peas. Soy gets a bad reputation
for its environmental impact. The industry is causing
widespread deforestation. But the vast majority,
some 70% of all soy, is grown to feed livestock, contributing to the sector’s
land and resource use. If everyone on the planet, some seven billion people went vegan, global farmland use would drop by 75%. This decline would free up
landmass the size of Australia, China, the EU and the US combined. We could grow more and
healthier food for more people. Rearing animals for meat
contributes to desertification. This is the loss of biological
productivity in dry lands. Overgrazing is one cause. Too many animals in one area can make it difficult
for plants to grow back. Deforestation is another. Sometimes whole areas
of forest are burnt down to make room for livestock. – [Narrator] Forest
fires are set on purpose after loggers are done chopping down trees and harvesting the lumber, the remaining vegetation is usually burnt. This is done by people hoping
to make a profit off the land, by selling it to farmers and ranchers. – [Narrator] With deforestation comes the loss of biodiversity. Forests are home to around 60% of the world’s plant and animal species. If animal agriculture keeps expanding, it will have devastating
consequences for wildlife. The recent fires in the Amazon were linked to cattle ranchers clearing
land for their herds. – This is part of a trend,
this increasing forest loss. Now we have a new government in there that is overtly pro-expansion
and use of the Amazon forest for development. – [Narrator] The rainforest is home to the largest collection of living plant and animal species. One in 10 known animal species live in the Amazon rainforest, including roughly 2.5
million insect species, tens of thousands of plants, and approximately 2000 birds and mammals. Many of these species are endangered. Vegan farming on the other
hand uses far less land, and in many cases, it
actually benefits the land. Beans, peas, and oats,
which are often used to make different vegan meats,
milk, and cheese products, are good for the soil. Field peas and fava beans for example are nitrogen-fixing legume plants, which help to fertilize the soil. Oats provide soil erosion control, and when planted alongside legumes, they can improve their productivity. Oats also have a zero water footprint. A meat-based diet not
only requires more land, but it also uses more water. Research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition stated that a meat-based diet requires 14 times more
water than a vegetarian one. A report published by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers stated that more than
15000 liters of water are required to produce
one kilogram of beef. It takes more than 10000 liters to produce one kilogram of mutton, and more than 5000 to produce pork. This is notable, given the water shortages occurring around the world. Experts told The Guardian last year that England could run out
of water within 25 years if we don’t act soon to preserve it. The water requirements of plant-based food are generally much lower. To produce one kilogram of potatoes, just 287 liters of water are used. Banana, cabbage, and tomato require 790, 237, and 214 liters respectively. – The statistic that
really comes to mind for me is this 80% of agricultural
land in the United States being devoted either through grazing or through growing feed to feeding animals who are then slaughtered
and converted into meat. – [Narrator] Growing crops for vegan food cuts out a very resource-intensive
step, raising livestock. Instead of growing crops to feed animals, we can now transform those crops straight into meaty vegan products that contain the same amount
of protein as animal meat. – If you could snap your fingers, and just vaporize that industry, which I would do in a
heartbeat if I could, the recovery of plant biomass on that land would actually start to lower
atmospheric CO2 concentration, something people don’t even
contemplate as a possibility. – [Narrator] Number two, it produces fewer greenhouse gas emissions. When speaking about climate
change and emissions, most people are quick to point
the finger at transportation. We shun celebrities who fly too
often, praise electric cars, and applaud those who
choose to cycle or walk. But livestock has an even larger impact on the environment than
the transportation sector. According to the United
Nations Environment Program, the greenhouse gas footprint
of animal agriculture rivals that of every
car, truck, bus, ship, airplane and rocket ship combined. To produce half a pound of beef, the emissions output is equivalent to driving a car 9.8 miles. To produce a half a pound of potatoes, the emissions equate to driving
the same car 0.17 miles. Beef production is to
blame for six times more greenhouse gas emissions than peas, a primary ingredient
in vegan meat products like the beyond burger. On average, a cow releases between 70 and 120
kilograms of methane a year. – A cow can basically fill up a 55 gallon garbage bag
full of methane every day. One cow’s not a problem, but
now we have 1.5 billion of ’em. And it’s an incredibly
inefficient way of producing food. – They’re responsible for nearly a 10th of all human-related emissions. Some of that’s from dairy cows, but most of it comes from
cows raised for their beef. – [Narrator] Methane’s
global warming potential is 23 times that of CO2. Lamb also has a high carbon footprint. Some believe it’s even higher than beef. According to the
Environmental Working Group, this is because lambs produce
less edible meat than cows. In 2018, the World Wildlife Fund stated that lamb cawl, a Welsh stew, had one of the worst carbon footprints of all of the UK’s most popular meals. Just one bowl of lamb
cawl produces 5.9 kilos of CO2 emissions. This is the same as
boiling a kettle 258 times, or driving 31 miles in a car. Seafood also produces greenhouse gases. The carbon footprint of
shellfish and crustaceans are particularly high. For every kilogram of
shrimp produced on land converted from mangrove forest, 1600 kilograms of greenhouse
gases are emitted. According to Forest News, mangrove forests are critical for carbon storage. In some cases, mangrove ecosystems can store up to 98% of
carbon stocks underground. When these mangroves are
cut down for shrimp ponds in the tropics, all of that carbon is released into the atmosphere. Many brands are making vegan seafood with plant-based ingredients. Good Catch uses a six legume blend to make its vegan tuna. Number three, it costs fewer animal lives. Every year, 200 million land
animals are killed for food. This amounts to around
72 billion every year. That’s not even counting
fish and other seafood. Animal agriculture is
causing other animals to lose their lives, too, when land is cleared to make room for animals raised for human consumption. In the fishing industry, billions of marine animals
including endangered fish, whales, sea turtles, dolphins and seals, are caught and killed unintentionally. These animals are known as by catch, and it’s estimated they make up 40% of the world’s total catch, equating to 63 billion pounds a year. But it goes even further. Greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, emitted by industries
including animal agriculture, trap heat, rising temperatures
or making it difficult for even more species to survive. We could be in the middle
of the sixth mass extinction in the Earth’s history, and
according to some experts, we already are. In the last 450 million years, there have been five mass extinctions. Each of those were caused
by natural disasters. But this one is man-made. A study published in
the journal proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences refers to a biological annihilation. As species go extinct, the impact on the planet is disastrous. Mass coral die offs, for example, are catastrophic for underwater life. The tropical fish that
rely on them for survival will also die out, and the
entire ecosystem crashes. A number of insect
species are also at risk, including pollinators like bees. Bees are one of the most
important species on the planet, and they are integral to
human survival as well. – And bees globally are the
most important pollinator. All of our favorite fruits
require pollination, apples, blueberries,
raspberries, strawberries. So there’s a global concern
that pollinators are in decline, and especially some of our
most efficient pollinators like bumblebees, many
of them are in decline. – [Narrator] Pesticides, habitat loss, disease and climate
change are leading causes of their declining population. – Climate change is
altering plant phenology, and if it’s altering bee
phenology at different rates, we could have a situation
where plants are available, but bees are not active. – [Narrator] Number four,
it costs fewer human lives. Vegan meat isn’t just better for the animals and the environment, it’s better for human health as well. Meat consumption, particularly
red and processed meat, is linked to a higher risk
of a number of diseases, including heart disease. Cardiovascular disease
is the leading cause of death in the US. In 2016, it was responsible
for more than 840,000 deaths. According to the American
College of Cardiology, from 2006 to 2016, death rates
from cardiovascular disease increased 18.6%. Studies have shown that a plant-based diet can improve heart health. A 2018 American Heart Association study found that cutting out animal products lowers the risk of heart disease more than the AHA recommended diet. The eight week long study
analyzed 100 participants. They followed either a plant-based diet, or the AHA recommended diet, which includes lean meat,
fish, and low fat dairy. The plant-based group saw the biggest reduction in inflammation, which is associated with an
increased risk of heart disease. According to another AHA
study, a plant-based diet may lower the risk of death
from a heart attack by 19%. The study analyzed four dietary patterns in middle aged American adults, who were followed up
with from 1987 to 2016. Those who ate more healthy plant foods received higher scores for reduced risk. Conversely, those who
ate the most animal foods received lower scores. A plant-based diet could also
reduce the risk of cancer. One 2018 study analyzed the data of more than 120,000 people, collected over the course of 26 years. It found that those who ate
the most inflammatory foods, such as processed and red meats, were 37% more likely to
develop colon cancer. They were also 70% more likely
to develop rectal cancer. Some researchers have suggested that placing a tax on
red and processed meat could save thousands of lives. A 2018 study revealed
that 6000 UK deaths a year could be prevented with such a tax. Cancer Research UK agrees
that lives could be saved if meat consumption dropped. It announced in 2018 that there could be up to 8800 fewer cancer
cases if everyone in Britain stopped eating red and processed meat. Number five, it costs less money. Shifting away from meat or even taxing it could also save consumers
and governments money. A meat tax could reduce healthcare costs by 30.7 billion pounds, according to one 2018 PLOS One study. Lead researcher Dr. Marco Springman said in a statement,
the consumption of red and processed meat
exceeds recommended levels in most high and middle income countries. This is having significant impacts not only on personal health,
but also on healthcare systems, which are taxpayer
funded in many countries. He added that the UK’s economy would also perform
better, as it is currently losing its labor force due to ill health, and care for family members who fall ill. In 2019, British consumers
saved 6.7 billion pounds by eating inexpensive plant-based foods instead of animal products. Researchers estimate that more
than 12 million meat eaters consumed less pork, beef,
lamb, and chicken in 2019, compared to previous years. That shift saved them
around 550 pounds each. The research was
commissioned by the popular British vegetarian meat
brand Linda McCartney’s, and surveyed 2000 adult consumers. It revealed that for 28% of participants, saving money is a big motivator. 51% believe that meat is too expensive, and 44% think that a meat-free lifestyle is more affordable than ever. As demand rises, it’s
also going to get cheaper to produce and buy vegan food. Liz Spect, PhD, a senior scientist at The Good Food Institute, believes price parity with vegan meat and its animal-based counterpart
is just around the corner. She explained, “Industrial
animal agriculture “has been operating and optimizing “at a global scale for decades, “yet it is still inherently more efficient “to make meat directly from plants, “rather than feeding our crops to animals, “then eating a part of the animal. “It’s all but inevitable that
the plant-based meat industry “will eventually be cost
competitive with conventional meat. “When vegan meat brands
have a bigger share “of the overall meat market, “production methods will evolve,” explained Spect, “Increasing efficiency, “and inevitably reducing cost.” Why do you eat vegan food? 1. The beefers have completely re-engineered the narrative around beef and climate change and are now asserting that cattle farming heals the planet. This is not a joke

  2. It's becoming the new norm for brands/companies to supply vegan options. The demand is here for plant based foods. We may witness animal agriculture disappear in our lifetime. The demand for change is growing massively. If you are vegan or plan on going vegan. Thank you for caring. Cheers from Miami 🌞👍🏽

  3. Can you source the facts you state here please. This way I can show people when they ask for the sources

    Thanks!

  4. My visits to fast food chains have evaporated. Why? Because i now have a refrigerator stocked with a variety of things to eat. Veganism opens the door to variety. Before. My grocery list was basically meat and types of pasta. Lack of variety is why I would go to quick and easy fast food. I now even have more variety in that I am making homemade pickles (the brine makes a lovely vinaigrette after the pickles are gone) and green sprouts.

  5. There is NO water shortage. So many good reasons to promote the end of animal ag, why throw in complete nonsense into the bucket too.

  6. BEING VEGAN AND GOING VEGAN IS MOST LOGICAL✌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻…From these facts everybody should want to consider going vegan 🌱 If you don’t want to go vegan for what ever reason/s then start slow🙂 Eventually you may want go vegan altogether! Do it for the ANIMALS, ENVIRONMENT & HEALTH. Thank you for what ever you do to make this world a better place👍🏻

  7. Thank you for the constant supply of accessible information, your points are straightforward so are great for discussing veganism with other people. I also go to your videos to feel the empathy for animals is still out there.

  8. Without the government subsidies most people would not be able to afford meat. The meat industry is inefficient. It does not belong in this century.

  9. Love this. My only negatives: The impact on human privation was barely mentioned, when it should have been its own category. Unmentioned was eutrophication due to cropland runoff causing many streams to be effectively dead, and making growing dead zones in oceans as those streams fill rivers with silt and heavy metals. But still, in all, how you covered what you covered was great.

  10. I hope meat and seafood becomes food that people can no longer eat due to health issues so they can live in peace. May every farmer that kills animals and fish go bankrupt.

  11. When a pro grass fed beef person tries to tell you that their diet only kills one cow per year, mention these points: wolves, coyotes, bears, all killed annually to protect livestock. Prairie dogs and ground hogs poisoned to protect pasture.

Then of course there is the slaughter house. These have a constant habit of polluting waterways and documented fish kill in the millions. Who knows how many other aquatic creatures this kills.

Grass fed beef people also like to mention insects. Well, you should see how fast the grass cutter (to make hay for winter) runs thru the field. Carnage includes birds, insects, etc. The farmers use insecticides to keep flies away from the cows and to protect the pasture from insects. They use herbicides to manage weeds on their pastures.

Finally, with the larger Ghg emissions of animal agriculture, how many extra animals/ecosystems die?

P.S. Vegans don’t use honey so they need to be given credit for numbers of bees spared from the honey industry.

  12. We just hosted the first entire 100% vegan conference at Copper Mountain Resort! https://youtu.be/et1FNUWaIfM

  13. I’m just Posting this objectively:

advocating for SBD/space between diet: vegan diet for human digestion : hopefully Government can be Scientifically Studying what optimal diet within Veganism is: ( as well for understanding what specific vegan diets animals eat )/ (what materials have the most scientific integrity for all processes/all systems: specifically):
my best understanding of what optimal diet for humans is, is:
    Space Between Diet
    SBD:
    certified organic
    no wheat products
    no soy products
    no peanut products
    no coffee bean products
    vegan (plant-based) foods diet

  14. long term VEGANS need to be more militant , there has to be a way to balance our natural love of passivity with wanting to pull off the faces of meat eaters and stomping on them ! we have to embarrass the barbarians still hunting , we have to do more , especially in goverment corruption favoring the morally corrupt !

  15. The great thing about the beyond burger you can go to V3 then V5 and so on and keep on improving it. That is one thing you can't do with animal based agriculture without huge costs.

  16. 2:06 When the 2018 Oxford study was conducted on land mass reduction of 75% it included the UK as an EU member. So it's even more land than represented in the graphic. ✌

  17. Totally toxic , unnatural , delusion , malnutrition, lab meat ! Check the ingredients, check how much water for almond cultivation ! Monoculture destroy the soil ! Wake up

  18. Great video!

The change is happening, albeit slowly. In comparison to years back, it’s exponential. Places like California are way ahead of the curve. I’m from CA but live in AZ, and it’s remarkable how backwards people generally are here

  19. I went vegan because of factory farming, i grew up thinking eat meat was the greatest, my kids are growing up knowing it's not worth killing billions of animals and destroying the planet you live on.
In my opinion Eating animals is for survival not a luxury.
Not to mention I feel lighter without a corpse in my belly.

  20. Hope one day assurance compagnie ask: "do you eat animal products" like they ask: "do you drink or smoke" Hehehe 😉🌱

  21. – Now Because there are so many negative viewers trying to discourage people from becoming vegan here is some info to keep you on your path of a right living lifestyle, so here is a comment I gave to someone that didn't understand where the word meat comes from & thinks all places it is mentioned in the bible it is talking about the flesh of animals! – You just don't understand how the Bible got translated into English otherwise you wouldn't be asking this as the word meat comes from an old English word which meant or referred to “food in general.” From an ancient Germanic root, meat wasn’t about animal vs. vegetable but it was the difference between solid food vs. drink or liquids & just as meal which comes from the same word means solid food & the only time someone would use meal when talking about a liquid would be maybe after making a thick smoothie, they would say the drink was a meal all by itself because in their mind it was filling like a solid food meal was! It wasn't until about the 1300's that meat began to narrow down to its more current meaning of 'the flesh of animals used for food' or 'the edible part of anything, as a fruit or nut.' Some of its original sense still lingers, though, when we refer to the meat of a fruit or nut. Like when someone says break the shell of the nut & eat the meat of it! Or peel the orange & eat the meat! – some people even today say eat the flesh of the nut or fruit after peeling them! – It was the United States Department of Agriculture that defined meat to have a much more specific meaning in the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 – https://www.dictionary.com/e/meat-and-milk/ – https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/meat – So the old English meant the part of anything that was solid food to eat you don't eat the shell of the nut or the outer part of the orange, Or as in the Bible from the King James version most of the times that meat is used it talking about solid food in general, not the flesh or body parts of an animal, as an example in the Book of – Genesis 1:29-30 & God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is on the face of all the earth & every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. & to every beast of the earth, & to every fowl of the air, & to everything that creeps on the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: & it was so! – So where do you read God gave us 'the flesh of animals to use for food' neither the animals were to eat 'the flesh of animals for food' – another example in the Book of Hebrews 5:11-14 Of whom we have many things to say, & hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; & are become such as have need of milk, & not of strong meat. For every one that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belong to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good & evil. Yes in both of these scriptures they are talking about solid food not the flesh of animals! God was saying this shall be the food I give to you & the author of Hebrews whether it was, Paul the Apostle or not was saying a baby can only handle milk or liquids were as the one who is grown-up can handle solid food, but the people he was talking to needed milk again as they seem to be having trouble handling the solid food of the word of God, he wasn't talking about 'the flesh of animals' & in Genesis 9:2-5 & the fear of you & the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, upon every fowl of the air, upon all that move upon the earth, & upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered Every moving thing that live shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. & surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it & at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. – So 1st of all God put fear into every beast so now they will run away from men, then God was saying everything that has life & is fresh shall be food for you, because the Hebrew words translate to creeping things, moving things, creeping organism & living, alive green (of vegetation) flowing, fresh (of water) & today we know that with a microscope we can see when vegetation is green & fresh it's actually alive & flowing with water, then right after that God gives us an example of what He means, such as the green herb have I given you. So, in other words, God was giving Noah a word of wisdom eat what is alive & fresh don't eat that what is dying & rotting because again we know with a microscope we can see when vegetation is not green & fresh is has bacteria & mold growing in it & the water starts to dry up & stops flowing through it! Then God says don't eat neither flesh nor the blood because at every beast you kill & eat I'll require your blood & anyone that kills a man I'll require that man's life! – whereas before the flood animals were not fearful of man & men were killing animals & becoming violent killing each other & also one of the reasons God brought the flood to save men from themselves, – Yes it was Nimrod who 1st started to kill animals once again Genesis 10:8-9 & Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. & the beginning of his kingdom was Babel & the Hebrew word that is translated as before was used in Genesis 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God & the earth was filled with violence! – but the Hebrew word can also be translated as against so it makes more sense to say, 'The earth also was corrupt against God & the earth was filled with violence! & Nimrod became a mighty hunter against God! – yes when your filled with corruption & violence & out to kill animals it's against God's will! – There are many people that don't know their Bible either as animals have souls & that is why God said to the Jewish people who harden their hearts against God, while wandering in the desert & craved meat. Moses said God wanted to do them good, as He was trying to wean them off the fleshpots of Egypt, but because they didn't want to follow God's way, so He set up a dietary law to follow & more or less said OK if you are going to eat meat then pour out the blood & don't eat it as it contains the soul of the animal. – plus 2 of the smartest people in the world spoke that vegans were gentler than meat-eaters – King Solomon wrote Proverbs 15:17 Better a dish of vegetables where there is love than a fattened ox with hatred – Albert Einstein became a vegetarian, only during the last years of his life, even though God was trying to prick his conscience every time he ate. In a letter to Max Kariel, he said, "I have always eaten animal flesh with a somewhat guilty conscience," but too late for him as his love for meat already did damage to his stomach! Einstein's quote, "Nothing will benefit health or increase chances of survival on earth as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." plus Einstein, a vocal pacifist, subscribing. In a letter dated 27 December 1930, Einstein outlined his own view of the philosophy & its appeal: “Although I have been prevented by outward circumstances from observing a strictly vegetarian diet, I have long been an adherent to the cause in principle. Besides agreeing with the aims of vegetarianism for aesthetic & moral reasons, it is my view that a vegetarian manner of living by its purely physical effect on the human temperament would most beneficially influence the lot of mankind.” Albert said this because he noticed in his travels around the world that vegetarians had a much gentle loving disposition than big meat eaters did! – I myself found that after I stopped eating meat I was able to turn the other cheek whereas before if some took a hit at me I would push back & not take the abuse that they were dishing out! & Daniel was saying he didn't eat any desirable bread, neither meat – solid food – nor wine entered his mouth! There are some Church members who think there is such a thing as a Daniel fast were you stop eating the flesh of animals & eat fruit & vegetables only but Daniel didn't eat nor drink anything that had a food value when he fasted & got alone with God! Yes, in Bible times the flesh of animals wasn't eaten the way we eat it today only Kings & Rulers were big eaters of animal flesh back then & Jesus gave us an example in the Parable of the prodigal son, showing eating animals was only done on festive occasions, not an everyday thing as many people eat it today – “The older brother became angry & refused to go in. So his father went out & pleaded with him. But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you & never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’ – I've been a vegan now for about 25yrs & find I don't get sick like I once used to get sick, It was because of the Bible & God that I ended up vegan, but I have since found out how many more reasons it is good to be vegan!

  22. Now here is some more info that should help you stay on your vegan lifestyle – You need to read the books that were taken out of the Bible & those that never made it into the Bible such as the book of Jasher which was found long after the Bible was put together because in it, it says that Cain is the 1st one who is mentioned as an eater of the flesh of animals, Yes, it says that Abel offered up the best to God which was the fat from his sheep which was only the milk from them, not their flesh & Cain offered up the vegetables from his garden but it wasn't the best it was what was rotting to God & that is why God disapproved of Cains offering. Then it said that one day Abel's sheep came & trampled Cain's vegetable garden & Cain in anger told Abel he needed to replace his garden because it was his sheep that did it but Abel just said when you replace the flesh of the sheep you have eaten & the wool you are wearing then I will do it, but because Cain knew he couldn't do it he rose up in anger picked up a rock & killed Abel with it. God told me the sheep trampled the garden to get revenge on Cain for eating them! Abel wasn't eating them, he only was wearing the wool he took from them! So that is why all big eaters of flesh in the Bible are violent people & that lines up with the words of wisdom from King Solomon who wrote Proverbs 15:17 Better a dish of vegetables where there is love than a fattened ox with hatred – Yes, in my religious studies I found out the ideal food for a Buddhist monk is not to be eating any animal because you are causing pain to that being in order to eat it, but there have been different off-springs of the Buddhist religion that if you don't have the will power to not eat meat you can if the monk was aware that the animal was not killed on their behalf, because supposedly the Buddha said: … But, you should not knowingly make use of meat killed on purpose for you." which I find a little bit crazy, en-other words if you were going to visit someone who had plans to kill an animal for food that day then you may eat it, but if you find out that they never had any intention of killing an animal for food that day but did it just for you because you were coming over to visit, then you can't eat it, really how stupid is that which is worst, as the Dalai Lama eats only Fruit & vegetables when he's not travelling about but eats whatever is place in front of him when he is! & there was another school of teaching that if you are going to eat it then do so like other animals do, yes, these monks ate their meat raw, with no cooking & some even eat the blood with it & the Buddhist monk who this book & story focused on said when he visited this monastery it was like when they were talking to him, he got the feeling it was more like they were growling at him as if they knew he didn't eat meat & it was their way of disapproving of it! Much like a lot of big meat eaters do with whose who are vegans when they meet them because they too get some of the animal's blood into their life which God said contains the soul of the animal! Plus In Bible times they didn't have refrigeration to keep it fresh they put it in salt to stop it from rotting & this salt also acted like a magnet by drawling out the rest of the blood. Yes, the Eating of blood is forbidden – Leviticus 17:11-14 If anyone from the house of Israel or a foreigner living among them eats any blood, I will set My face against that person & cut him off from among his people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood, & I have given it to you to make atonement for your souls upon the altar; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul. Therefore I say to the Israelites, ‘None of you may eat blood, nor may any foreigner living among you eat blood.’ & if any Israelite or foreigner living among them hunts down a wild animal or bird that may be eaten, he must drain its blood & cover it with dirt. For the life of all flesh is its blood. Therefore I have told the Israelites, ‘You must not eat the blood of any living thing, because the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it must be cut off.’ – Even Paul in the New Testament wrote to the new churches forming at the time that they were to abstain from things polluted by idols, from fornication, from whatever animal had been strangled because these animals died with the blood still in the animal & from blood also. Acts of the Apostles 15:19–20 – So why do you think in Ireland the Irish Protestant & Catholics have been killing each other, as they both believe in Jesus & know that murders will go to hell yet they do it anyway, well in Ireland the Irish are known for their Black pudding which is a type of sausage, made from pork blood & fat or beef suet & a cereal, usually oatmeal, oat or barley groats & pork is another meat God told the Israelites was not good for them as well & considered it as unclean, so God doesn't see them as his people or followers when they aren't following his will even though they say they are! There are many places around the world where they eat the blood of the animals after they slaughter them & it is added to sausages, pancakes, soups, stews & sauces, or blood is also eaten as a solid ingredient, either by allowing it to congeal before use or by cooking it to accelerate the process. Blood curd that consists of cooled & hardened animal blood is a dish typically found in Asian countries, where it is known as blood tofu. In the USSR & ex-USSR countries they produce sweet nutrition bars containing cattle blood, known under the generic name Hematogen; originally they were created for treating anemia, but nowadays they are sold like regular sweets. In some places, people drink the blood as soon as the animal is slaughtered believing that it is a healthy thing to do & in some places the animal isn't killed but they drink the blood from a live animal! God doesn't see these people as His people until they repent of their sinful way, they are more like a vampire in God's eyes! – Plus I found out that a person did a study on just all Christian religions because he wanted to see if God was showing any partiality towards the different Christian religions & what he ended up finding out was that the Seventh-day Adventists live about 10 years longer 89-yrs than the average American life expectancy of about 79-yrs then others who put their faith in God! What I found in my study of the different Churches I attended as they were the only ones who encouraged their followers to eat a plant-based diet or a vegetarian diet no other Church does this, so yes God shows partiality towards those who do his will! – Luke 2:13-14 suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God saying, “Glory to God in the highest & on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” – Yes, you please God when you are doing his will & vegans are doing God's will whether they know it or not!

  23. A person who called them self Vegan Todd posted this – An anagram for "coronavirus" is "carnivorous." Literally, food for thought – I told him that it just maybe God who put it on someone's heart to call it coronavirus so we would get the hint it is caused by being carnivorous & you spotted it good work! – Now again here is some more info I feel should help you stay or move to a vegan lifestyle – The new outbreak of the Coronavirus Infection that started from markets & restaurants in Wuhan China & has now spread to multiple countries across the world, are known to sell live exotic & sometimes endangered animals for the people of China & tourist to eat! It is because of the type of protein that people are getting into their bodies that help spread these viruses, just as the Swine flu originated in pigs but was later spread from person to person because the virus needed to find similar protein cells to spread to which would be anyone that ate pigs for food. So it is with all animal viruses that are spread to people who eat animal flesh, but people who are vegans the protein they are getting from plants is not the same as the protein you get from animals – https://happyandraw.com/plant-vs-animal-proteins/ – God originated plants for man & the animals to eat but because we are living in a fallen world where it says Satan is now the God of it, we have been forcing our bodies to eat the flesh of animals for food because of our fallen nature. But the Bible says Jesus has come to redeem us from the law of sin & death & many people have proven over the years that you can live a longer & better life by eating plants only, it is Satan that wants you to continue to force your body to accept dead animals into it, which have proven to cause cancers heart failures & viruses to spread much more quickly. Plus more people have died choking on a piece of animal flesh than any plant-based food. God wanted to set the Jewish nation free from the fleshpots of Egypt when he took them out into the wilderness but because they desired to eat it He set up a dietary law to protect them from the bad flesh of animals that weren't good to consume & pig was one of them. So vegans will have higher tolerance towards these viruses that are spread from animals to people. This vegan movement is from God & Satan will do anything to keep people tied to their cravings for animal flesh! Plus a council in Italy held a meeting regarding the Coronavirus & Lady Gaga's Stupid Love accidentally started playing from someone's phone & Lady Gaga was known to have worn a dress made from thin cuts of flesh from dead animals not the outer skin which is usually used! So it is like God wanted to make a point at the meeting it is very Stupid to Love eating dead animals for food & not what God originated which was fruits & vegetables!

  24. Vegan meat and plant based restaurants are expensive, something has to be done to the vegan industry from charging us more, that's why most vegans are poor.

  25. This is fantastic that you guys continue to tighten up and shout out the message. Something must be done to get our contrary brothers and sisters to remember they care about this. I believe people are burying their heads in the sand more and more. It seems people were more concerned and vocal about the environment back when they felt or believed that they could not do anything about it. With the advent of proof that as individuals we can solve all of it, the less life on earth seems to matter! Deeply psychotic backpedaling is an epidemic here. I get this feeling just from regular life experience outside of my focus on veganism and its stunning and wonderful ascent. But don't people realize that the proof that we are responsible as individuals for the ruination and suffering in the world is also proof of how incredibly powerful we are even as individuals? It is totally awesome! We really can do anything!

  26. I am so glad to see more vegan options being offered at Costco and other stores in my area. Can't wait to get the Beyond Meat option in bulk at Costco. I do think vegan meat is more efficient or at least SAFER than animal meat.

  27. One of the best, if not the best ‘Live Kindly’ vids I’ve seen, Ive been a healthy and fit vegan for 35 years, and love seeing how it is now exploding!. 🌎✊🏽🌻✌🏽

  28. Excellent video. Humans exploiting the Amazon must be sucidal because they are contributing to deforestation, climate change and other environmental damage to the planet and this damage once done maybe impossible to reverse. Everyone (with the exception of vegans) blame the transport system to hide the fact that the animal products they consume are contributing the majority of the environmental impact on the planet because they have been convinced by the marketing of the animal products industries that animal products are necessary which they are not.

  29. Coop, GRO" no meat burgers, £2 Absolutely stunning.cold oven, place on rack, pace tray bottom of oven, 30 minutes gas mark 7, Not that I am telling people how to cook but this is the best way how to cook these burgers.

  31. I don’t really agree with vegan meat and that because some of the meat companies are trying to get in the market

  32. I LOVE all you videos! Big supporter! I’ve been WFPB vegan for 9 years. That being said, I think it’s a little disingenuous of you to compare water required for 1 lbs of meat to 1 lbs of plant foods. By weight, they aren’t equal and any carnist will question you on this. To be fair, you should compare water usage for an equal amount of calories, not an equal weight of food. My dinner salads weigh roughly 5 lbs and are approximately 1500 calories. 1 lbs of beef has nearly the same amount of calories as my 5 lbs salad. So by comparing equal WEIGHT of food, it’s not a true comparison. Humans require a certain amount of calories per day, not a certain weight of food. A vegan diet will still be orders of magnitude better than a carnivore diet! But by exaggerating in this way, i think it takes away from the vegan argument because it’s disingenuous.

  33. I don't eat animal products out of compassion for the animals and an intellectual understanding of the injustice of exploiting them. However, it is a beautiful thing that there are benefits across the spectrum of existence. I hope and expect that these more personal benefits will help the world to change. Once you eliminate the habits and practices, it is easier to open your mind and heart to compassion and common sense regarding the way we currently treat animals.

  34. Awesome video! I just shared it to my facebook…hope it'll wake up some self-claimed 'environmentalists' who still pound back the meat 🙂

  35. We are humans because of meat. That is why all you fools exist today, in this century, lol.
Those "burgers" are cheap inflammatory shit that cost companies less then beef and increase their profit margins.
And you all are the kind of dumb blind sheep that lap it up.

More real meat for me, thanks !

  36. Wow people are brainwashed

It’s farrrr easier to genetically modify plants

Animals filter the plants they eat and it’s much more difficult to genetically modify animals

This is not entirely accurate. Don’t give up your food security

Bible prophecy is being fulfilled, this is part of it
