Vegetable Stock or Broth Recipe | Homemade Vegetable Stock | Basic Vegetable Stock


today we are going to make vegetable stock which you can use in place of water for soups, gravies & chinese dishes ingredients/quantities are listed in the description box trimmings of veggies discarded during chopping veggies can be saved in the freezer in a ziploce bag and used to make the vegetable stock but since we did not have them at hand, and if you don’t have them as well, we are preparing this stock with a few basic food ingredients & spices you can use any trimmings/veggies you have at hand for that matter here are the ingredients we have taken. a total of about 500-600 grams in all can be taken wash the ingredients well & remove any discolored leaves etc. no need of peeling the veggies just chop them in medium sized pieces and smash the garlic cloves we have here cabbage, carrots, onions, bell pepper, cauliflower along with some stalks and a bunch of cilantro stems after removing the leaves, spring onions with the leaves, ginger & garlic bay leaves, cloves & peppercorns. please check out the quantities in the description box we will boil these veggies in 2 liters of water heat the water on high heat when hot add all the veggies & spices mix well & let the water come to a boil this is a very basic vegetable stock recipe with commonly used ingredients & we have not used very strong flavored spices the water has come to a boil. reduce heat to a simmer and simmer the contents for 1 hour the stock has been simmering for an hour. put off the heat & allow it to cool down and strain out the water when it cools down here is the vegetable stock cooled down with a nice smelling aroma. store it in a bottle/jar in the refrigerator and use within a week discard the veggies and do not mash them into the stock this vegetable stock will make your dish more delicious. try it and share your experience if you like our recipe please share our video & also subscribe to our channel and press the bell icon to receive notifications of all our uploads thanks for watching
